About Bill

    Born in  1947 to William H. and Mary Louise Lant, William "Bill" Lant grew up in Southern Indiana.  He would soon migrate to Joplin, MO where he would meet and marry his beautiful bride Jane Hymer.  Bill and Jane had three boys; Will, Steve, and Craig.  The two decided to raise their small family in the heart of Seneca. 
      After 30 years in food service and transportation industries, Bill and Jane Lant built, owned and operated Lant's feed and Lant's Bridal.  In May 2008, a tornado swept through Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri and took with it the feed and bridal store.  Bill rebuilt the feed store at the same location and continues to provide services to all area families. 
      Bill also serves as deacon and Sunday school director of Warrens Branch Baptist Church.  He currently serves as President of the Seneca R-7 school district, where he has been a board member since 2008 and is a board member of the Redings Mill Fire Department.  Bill and Jane are proud grandparents of Lauren, Catherine, and Logan Lant of Will Lant, Seneca; and Rose, Stephen, and Xanden Thomas Lant of Steve and Tabitha Lant, Seneca.
